300 and Godzilla's Patrick Sabongui to star in the Flash Pilot

The upcoming Flash pilot has yet again added another name to its roster. According to a report from Deadline, Patrick Sabongui is set to be joining the cast as Captain David Singh. In the comic book series, Singh protects and serves as a member of the central city police department. He is specifically the director of the crime lab in the central city police department. The character was added to the DC comics universe recently back in 2010.

It is not yet clear whether or not Patrick's take on Singh will match the comics. We currently know that Barry Allen works in the police department from his recent appearance in Arrow. So it is a good assumption to suggest that if Singh is Barry's bass, it will be only natural that he'd be around on an ongoing basis. However this is only if the pilot is picked up as a full series.

Also speaking of Arrow, Patrick had appeared in the series twice as unnamed characters.

The cast so far for the Flash is Patrick Sabongui as David Singh, Grant Gustin as Barry Allen, Tom Cavanagh as Harrison Wells and Candice Patton as Iris West.
