Transformers: Age Of Extinction star going back on his word

Transformers: Age Of Extinction star, Titus Welliver going back on his word

The new trailer for Transformers: Age of Extinction is expected to be released soon and the movie is expected to become one of the highest grossing movies in the Transformer series, with box office expecting it to take in over £600 million ($1billion). The best way to reach this mark is through the children market, so their parents will have to take them to the cinema. However Transformers star Titus Welliver said that the film was "not a kids movie," but it appears that he may be backing away from that statement.

Titus Welliver says that he misspoke and has released a statement to clarify , " I misspoke in my last interview when I said that Transformers 4 was not a kids movie, what I meant was that this film, will in fact expand their target audience and bring in a bigger fan base. Following the huge success of Transformers and their toy line, it is certainly a kids movie with the addition of Mark Wahlberg, Transformers 4 will be the coolest in the franchise."

So there we go, although the new film may have a more darker tone, Age of Extinction appears to be a kid's movie after all. We can not say that we did not see it coming, the movie is in fact based on the popular toy. However Age of Extinction may still have the opportunity to be more successful than the previous Transformers: Dark of the Moon, well at least when it comes to selling more toys.

Age of Extinction takes place in Chicago, four years after Dark of the Moon. The movie is to be centred around an inventor named Cade, his daughter Tessa and her boyfriend Shane, as they discover a buried Transformer which then issues the return of the rest of the Transformers. The movie also contains a plot which involves the U.S. Government constructing their own Transformer based on the technology they recovered from Dark of the Moon.

Transformers: Age Of Extinction is released everywhere on June 27, 2014
