Transformers: Age of Extinction Trailer
After a Tv spot during the Super Bowl XL VIII only a few weeks, this new trailer for Transformers: Age of Extinction reminds us why the Transformer franchise makes so much movie of its movies. They have an endless bag full of tricks. The latest trailer shows more of the film's story line and provides a clearer direction to where the series might be heading towards.
The Transformers: Age of Extinction Trailer opens with a shot of your typical American farm scene, with a truck passing a billboard that shows "Remember Chicago," as a nod to the events of Transformers: Dark of the Moon. It also reminds people to "report Alien activity," which tells us that the people in the movie have different views on the Autobots and the Decepticons. We then meet star of the movie Cade Yaeger (Mark Wahlberg) and his daughter Tessa.
Cade buys old cars and trucks so he can break them down for
scrap. One of his purchases proves to be something he never expected: “I think
we just found a Transformer,” says Cade. The trailer then kicks into high gear,
with the U.S. Government trying to track down all the remaining Transformers,
with Cade and his family caught in the middle of an intergalactic civil war.
We get a glimpse of a number of new Transformers such as
Galvatron, Swoop, and Grimlock, as well as more familiar ‘bots such as
Bumblebee. We also get a first look at the film’s central human villain Kelsey
Grammer’s Harold Attinger, a C.I.A. Agent who is hunting down the Transformers
that are still left on Earth.
The very end of the trailer features Optimus Prime fighting
Grimlock, the leader of the Dinobots. Needless to say, the trailer looks
amazing! I haven’t been excited for a Transformers movie since the first one
back in 2007. It really looks like Age of Extinction might be a better movie
than any of the earlier Transformers films.
Age of Extinction takes place in Chicago, four years after
the last film. The movie centers on Cade, his teenage daughter Tessa (Nicola
Peltz), and her boyfriend Shane (Jack Reynor) as they “discover a buried
Transformer which sets the stage for the return of the rest of the
Transformers.” The plot also includes the U.S. Government building their own
Transformers based on technology found in the rubble from Dark of the Moon.
Transformers 4 also stars Stanley Tucci, Sophia Myles, T.J.
Miller, Victoria Summer, Li Bingbing, Titus Welliver, and Peter Cullen.
Transformers: Age of Extinction hits theaters everywhere on June 27, 2014, in
3D and IMAX.
