No Anchorman 3

No More Anchorman, According to director

Anchorman 2's alternate cut featuring more than 750 new jokes will run for seven days in selected cinemas. However this may be the last time we will see Ron Burgundy on the big screen.

Anchorman's director Adam McKay stated that, "it's done."

He then goes on to say that " I think that's it, it was great to do it and it was fun to work with those guys again, but I think that's t for Ron Burgundy."

This came at quite a surprise considering the given success in the box office Anchorman 2 had, taking in over £74.6 million ($125 million) in the states alone. But director Adam McKay seems certain that this will be the last time that we will see our beloved Ron Burgundy.

It also appears that there might not be a Step Brothers 2, as McKay stated "that's the last sequel we're gonna do." He goes onto say "there's nothing more fun to me than new characters and a new world, now we're releasing this alt version, we're totally satisfied. No Anchorman 3."

He doesn't say for definite that there will be no Step Brothers sequel, but we can look forward to McKay's new remake of the 1970's comedy Uptown Saturday Night, staring none other than Will Smith.
