Almost Human on verge of cancellation ?

Almost Human, may be on verge of cancellation

One of the most promising new sci-fi genre shows from the creators J.J. Abrams and J.H. Whyman could be coming to an early close. According to a number of sources, Almost Human could be facing cancellation at the end of this season.

Tv By the Numbers has stated that Almost Human is "likely to be cancelled." Although the ratings for the show have not been particularly bad, it has not lived up to the hype that was put behind the show. As well as ratings the article also mentions the fact that the network ordered 13 episodes to be televised, but currently it has not requested any more. Plus the show is losing its current time slot in favor of Bones, which had previously had the 8 pm spot for many years. Although nothing has been set in stone, these are the nonrmal indicators which suggest a series is coming to an end.

Even though Almost Human has some largest elements such as the Insyndicate, who make an appearance in a number of episodes, the show hasn't gotten to that part yet. We are currently only seeing the odd flash back from Detective John Kennex (Karl Urban) and the crew of Insyndicate breaking into the evidence locker at the police station, but apart from that, we have not seen any many story lines which link to this.

As good as the show may be, it just hasn't really broken out of it's mould yet. Even though it has a wide variety of futuristic elements, there are a number of detective show's out there that appear to be doing just as good. Karl Urban and Michael Ealy play detective John Kennex and Dorian. They are a good match and have developed a interesting chemistry that makes the show somewhat entertaining and enjoyable.

What I am trying to say is that Almost Human has not been living up to the hype it was given. I am okay with waiting for a show to get good, I mean I did wait three seasons for Game of Thrones. But with not many episodes left  and the vision of it's cancellation coming, we have to hope that it gets the viewers attention.
